MARIDEE F. EDWARDS is the former chief disciplinary counsel of Missouri. She was appointed to that position by the Missouri Supreme Court, holding it from 2001 2006. In that capacity she directed the agency (Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel) which investigated and prosecuted attorneys for ethical misconduct in Missouri. Prior to her tenure at OCDC she worked in the field of attorney ethics, discipline and admissions (re: moral character applications) for ten years at the California State Bar, Los Angeles Office of Chief Trial Counsel. She has written numerous articles on attorney ethics and professional responsibility and provides a regular column to the Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
