Our first center opened in 1994 in a tiny house in Maplewood to provide a serene and sacred space for students as dedicated to practicing yoga as the four teachers/partners were to teaching. In 1997, the Center moved to a spacious converted garage in Webster with a padded floor, quality props, and a garage door that elevates to let the outside in.

Debra Simpson Takes a
Year-Long Sabbatical to Esalen Some of you may be wondering why Debra hasn't been seen at the Big Bend Center. She has chosen to follow her dream and accept a year-long position at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. According to Debra, “I have begun the journey into my year at Esalen, learning about life, myself, and hope to learn massage techniques to take forward into whatever lies ahead for me. Writing, creating art, and practicing yoga are sustaining me as well as the community around me.” All the best to Debra throughout her year at Esalen.
