My name is Carl Kohnen. I have been practicing law in the St. Louis area for over 30 years. My law firm handles wrongful death claims, personal injury claims, and workers' compensation cases. We also represent persons charged with various criminal and traffic offenses, with an emphasis on representing persons charged with driving while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol.
My firm also prepares wills and trusts, beneficiary deeds, and durable powers of attorney. We help our clients avoid probate so that they may pass their estate to their loved ones with a minimum of time and expense. In the event that probate of an estate is necessary, my firm helps guide our clients through the process.
We do not charge a fee to discuss your case. Cases such as wrongful death, personal injury and workers' compensation are handled on a contingency basis. You do not pay a fee unless we collect.
I am licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois and also before the Supreme Court of the United States. I am a former assistant states attorney and I have been a municipal prosecutor in St. Louis County, Missouri for more than 20 years.
