J.T. Weissenburger D.Sc. P.E. - President
EDI was founded in 1970 to provide consulting engineering services in areas of specialized technology. Two of EDI's founding principals -- Dr. J. T. Weissenburger and Dr. J.W. Schweiker (retired) -- had at one time worked for McDonnell Douglas Co. in the Structural Dynamics Department. Thus, it was natural that acoustics and vibrations would be principal among EDI's initial expertise. Since that time, EDI has provided services in many areas, most of which are in or related to, the broad fields of acoustics and vibrations -- seismic response analysis, blast monitoring, sound reinforcement system design, and theatre technology to name a few.
Dr. Weissenburger was one of the principal founders of Engineering Dynamics International (EDI) in 1970.He has primary responsibility for the technical management of the company. He is an active engineer in many projects, particularly those involving acoustics, theater technology, and environmental noise studies. However, his experience and expertise extends to most area of acoustics and vibrations. He is past president of NCAC and a fellow ASME. He has written a chapter on noise and vibration for the second edition of Mechanical and Electrical Systems in Buildings, by William Tao and Richard Janis (Prentice Hall).

Barb Vallo - Office Manager
In 1983 when Mrs. Vallo joined our staff, the fellow dubbed her the 'Den Mother'. It was her responsibilty to keep us all on our toes, making sure expense vouchers, time sheets, work logs, and 101 little details that engineers like to skip were in order. Over the years her responsibilities have increased and in 1994 she was elected to our board of directors as Secretary. She is an integral part of the EDI family.

Gary Brown - Project Engineer
Gary rejoined the EDI staff in March 1998. Since that time, he has largely been responsible for HVAC Analysis and Large Scale Environmental Noise Investigations. He also attends much of EDI's field vibration work. He recently earned a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from the Washington University / UMSL joint engineering program.

Jason Farrell - Senior Technician
Jason joined EDI in December 2002 and quickly took over most of the work on the airport related projects. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Joint Engineering program between UMSL and Washington University with an expected graduation date of May 2008. Jason is die hard sports fanatic.

Brian Anderson - Field Technician
Brian has been a field technician with EDI since September of 2004. He primarily works on the Airport Noise Abatement Program making field measurements. Brian also performs field work for the Lambert Airport temporary noise monitoring project.

Gary Miller - A/V Specialist
Gary joined the EDI staff in February 2008. He brings to the EDI staff extensive experience in the design of audio, video and lighting systems. Gary is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Media Communications at Webster University. Among the many tours he has worked with, he was an Assistant Stage Manager and Head Audio Engineer for the Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker North American tour.
