National Heights enjoys a rich history and continues to celebrate its wonderful heritage. Founded in July 1889 as the third Baptist church in Springfield, the church has experienced a blessed ministry. Formerly known as the East Avenue Baptist Church, the building was relocated to its present location in 1979 and adopted the National Heights name.
Our ministry includes family activities for preschool, children, youth, adults, and senior adults.

Located on the north side of Springfield, MO, at 3050 N. National, NHBC is a Southern Baptist (SBC) church in cooperation with the churches of the Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) and the Greene County Baptist Association (GCBA).
