The StaffNotice of Non-Discriminatory Policy
Thank you for your interest in Park Avenue Christian School where we prepare students for academic success and Christian service. You are among a growing number of parents who recognize the need for a superior educational program for their children. Meeting your child`s academic and Spiritual needs is a high priority that Park Avenue Christian School is ready to help you fulfill.
Tests in each subject area, directly relating to the P.A.C.S. curriculum, will determine your child`s academic position (what he already knows and what he needs to learn) in that subject. Curriculum is then assigned to meet specific needs. Therefore, he will not be bored or overwhelmed. This results in maximized learning.

To be founded on sound educational principles, quality schooling must begin with the needs of the individual. That is the reason P.A.C.S. uses School of Tomorrow materials. These materials have been proven in over 7,000 schools world-wide and emphasize individual growth, progress, and responsibility.
P.A.C.S. uses the School of Tomorrows Reading-Readiness Program. This program is based on phonics and is used by schools world wide. The goal of the program is to prepare the students for reading instruction and to integrate new students into the social structure of an active pursuit of knowledge.
P.A.C.S. uses the School of Tomorrows Learning-to-Read Program. This program follows and builds upon their Reading-Readiness Program. It is phonics based, and the goal is to bring the student to an advanced level of reading ability. This is accomplished through materials that are colorful, exciting, challenging, and fun.
P.A.C.S. is a ministry of the Fountain of Life Christian Fellowship and stands without apology for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the highest standards of morality and Christian behavior.
We have a four-day school week (Tues. - Thurs., 8:00 -3:30 and Fri., 8:00-2:30) A typical day would include 4-5 hours of individual study time, 3-4 ten minute (or longer) breaks, lunch, and Physical Education, also Music or Art classes (if we have parental help). In addition, we have special activities that vary from year to year. An incentive program is used to motivate students to perform at more than their minimum level. Loss of merits, which can result in detention, is normally used as a disciplinary measure.
The school is divided into Learning Centers and each Learning Center has a trained Supervisor and, except in Kindergarten, one or more full-time adult monitors. The School of Tomorrow program is individualized and places the responsibility of learning on the student. This environment frees the teacher from classroom instruction and makes them available to work with students in a one-on-one relationship whenever help is needed. This method of instruction increases long-term retention of the material studied and makes each student`s education more valuable to them.
We have a variety of activities that minister to the Spiritual side of students. Built into the educational materials are Scriptures, encouragement in Godly character, love for God, the home, and our country. We also memorize a passage of Scripture each month. We have an opening assembly every morning and weekly Chapel services which provide for all-school spiritual focus times. Our objectives at these times are:
5) to sing songs of praise and worship
From time to time, we also have special speakers who minister to the students.
The staff at P.A.C.S. is selected for their academic qualifications, experience, and Christian testimony. Each Supervisor (teacher) and all full-time monitors (teacher aids) are also trained in the methodology of the School of Tomorrow program with yearly workshops presented by School of Tomorrow to keep them fresh and up-to-date.
The staff meets daily to pray for the school and the students, because we know a ministry of this type is not possible without God`s help.
FINALLY - If you feel that you might be interested in placing your children in P.A.C.S., please contact us for an appointment. We want this decision to be the result of a prayerful agreement between the home and P.A.C.S.
