Pointing Labs, Waterfowl Labs, Brittanys, German Shorthaired Pointers, Setters, and other close- working hunting dogs, custom trained for your individual needs, is Cerda-Fied Gundog's specialty. We have been producing custom-trained, personal gundogs and bird dogs, as well as obedience training family dogs in the Kansas City Metro/ Mid-West area for over 30 years. We are pleased with our exceptionally high success rate.
We will not guarantee that every dog will become a super star Field Trial champion. We will, however, patiently work with your dog, without using some of the more "traditional trainers" harsh training methods, to produce the most that your dog has to offer. We do not believe in beating or whipping dogs as part of our training program.
Cerda-Fied Gundogs believes in using repetition and association; combined with time and extreme patience. This method has worked well over the years with many hundreds of dogs that would normally have been "washed out" by other trainers.
Cerda-Fied Gundogs does not take on a full string of dogs, and then haul them cross country, from field trial to field trial, with only occasional work. In fact we only attend 5-6 trials per year, which are all normally within a few hours of the kennel.
Our goal is to train a good friend and hunting companion for you.
