Doli may not be a familiar name in minilabs, as it has previously specialised as an OEM supplier but since our purchase of one it has helped out our business tremendously.

Minilab manufacturer Doli, which supplies some of the top names in the industry, has announced its own name brand range of products.

The range is headed up by the DL-2100 and DL-2300 minilabs and the DL-2000PC film processor.

Both of the minilabs are equipped with colour correction software and offer facilities to adjust colour, brightness, contrast, gamma and sharpness.

The DL-2100 is capable of delivering prints up to 8x12 inch at resolutions up to 650dpi, and at a rate of up to 500 4x6 inch prints per hour. In comparison, the DL-2300 can print up to 12x18 inch images at resolutions of 650dpi. It can output 700 4x6 inch prints per hour from both negatives and digital sources.

Doli adds that the DL-2100 minilab costs 28,000 while the DL-2300 costs 34,000 (both with a consumables contract), which is, it claims, half the price of many comparable models. Both are able to deliver index prints of up to 42 images as well as being able to print via Internet or LAN connection.

The DL-2000PC film processor will process APS, 35mm and 120 rolls of film. It develops using C41B, C41BNP and C41RANP processes and costs 4900.

The company adds that the minilabs are also compact as they use an undulating rather than standard straight-line paper feed configuration. This means that smaller baths can be used although the paper immersion time remains the same as in other manufacturers' models.

All three machines incorporate an automatic chemistry replenishment system and give warnings when temperature and chemical levels are low. The machines also use what Doli says is a unique exposure system central to which is a straight-line LED exposure unit. In this, the matrix LCD panel remains static and uses polarizers to align the pixel projection onto the paper, says Doli.
