Conscious Discipline Parent Workshop Starts This month

You are invited to lunch on Sunday, Nov. 21 following the 10:50 a.m. Service. We'll have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberries, rolls and pie. Come celebrate Thanksgiving with your church family. Interested in helping cook? Meet the Samaritan class in the kitchen that day at 8:30 a.m. or contact Becca Bruce 913-634-1863 or Sarah Berlin 816-590-9595.

Bring a Pie
You can help with dessert for the all church Thanksgiving dinner by bringing a pie, already baked, to church with you on Sunday, Nov. 21. Bring it to the kitchen and the Samaritan class will take it from there.

Great Dates, a couples' ministry, Saturday, November 20, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Couples meet for one hour and then venture out on a "great date" to discuss this session's topic, Reaching Within Ourselves. These are groups of 5 to 8 people who gather to share, study the Bible, and prayer together. We are using the Transformation Journal developed by the staff at Ginghamsburg UMC. The Transformation Journal is a 52-week guide that will help us explore the Bible by focusing on a weekly theme. They are available in the church office for $20.
