With the enormity of success that the new Taylor GS Mini is having we thought it would be fun to put Dave Anderson to task and have him install the new ES-GO soundhole pickup. We also thought it would be more fun if we videotaped it so that everyone could see just how easy it really wasand at the same time have a little fun at Daves expense.
We think people get a little tired of the dull, drab videos that are out there so we try to inject a little levity (and it really just happens naturally without provocation) into our videos so that you not only glean something from them but that you enjoy watching them too.

New Product Spotlight: Rivera "Class A" Chubster
We love it when we get a new amp or guitar in especially when it happens to be as rare as this amp. A collaboration of Paul Jackson Jr and Rivera Amplification, this custom creation features the preamp section of the Chubster 55 and the power amp section of Rivera's Class A Venus 5. This Class A 50 Watt combohasa Vintage 30 speaker tucked nicely into the smaller footprint cabinet of the Chubster 55, a vintage/modern switch to cut the power in half, an effects loop with variable send and return, two separate channels with independent eq andfoot-switchable boosts for each, and of course a footswitch, all wrapped up in a custom royal blue package.
Paul Jackson Jr, a renowned L.A. session player who has over a thousand credits under his belt, has been the house guitarist for American Idol, America's Got Talent, Duets, and more recently as the guitarist for the Tonight Show band. Paul has played Rivera amps for years and really wanted one of their new "Class A" amps but felt that the Venus 5 had a touch more gain than he was looking for. Rivera addressed that by giving him the preamp section of the Chub 55 that he has used for the last several years and paired it with the "sweetness" of the Venus 5 Class A power amp. Once Paul Rivera Jr called us and asked us if we'd like to be the first dealer to have a few of these, we were just more than a little excited. We sold our first one too fast to even get a chance to do a video so we figured we better not hesitate once the second amp arrived. Stop in the store and well let you put it through its paces.

New Product Spotlight: SKB 3i Series Waterproof Cases

Every time I see one of these new cases from SKB I am reminded of the devastating flood that ripped through Nashville earlier this year. The flood took lives, homes, and businesses with total disregard, but what most people dont know is that it also took with it probably the largest collection of instruments and equipment. Soundcheck Nashville is a "cartage" facility, where roughly 1,000 musicians, including country stars such as Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Vince Gill, as well as hundreds of the world's most accomplished studio musicians, store their instruments and equipment. From rare and vintage collectables to state of the art sound and lighting equipment, most everything that was stored there spent several days under several feet of dirty water and raw sewage. Sadly, most every instrument was rendered un-repairable and many of these were irreplaceable.
I had the opportunity to speak with Vince Gill when we were in Nashville back in June. His comment was why doesnt someone make waterproof cases and so much of this could be avoided? Well someone does, and while hind-sight is what it is, I still have to look at these amazing cases and think only if. Well maybe you dont need a waterproof case but you just want one that will protect your investment. Well stop by the shop and let us show you why these new 3i Series cases are so awesome and affordable.
