We combine an Old World Cuisine with a Romantic, Relaxing Atmosphere
The Fratelli Story
In 1948, newlyweds Tommaso and Francesca Alagna immigrated to the United States from Campobello, Sicily in pursuit of the American Dream. The two Italian immigrants did not have great financial wealth, but they were rich in family tradition and shared a common love for cooking. Although leaving the old country had not been easy, they had stored away precious memories of earlier times when their families shared countless hours in the kitchen passing recipes from one generation to the next. The Alagnas perfected those recipes in the American kitchen. Eventually, the Alagna family grew to include two sons, Joseph ("Joe") and Gaetano ("Tom"), who would soon learn that cooking was an art and they were the artists.
Still holding on to their American dream, the Alagnas opened their first Italian restaurant in 1970. "Tommaso's" was located on Airport Road in Ferguson, and it is there that the Alagna family name and fine Italian cuisine became a St. Louis tradition.
In 1983, Joe and Tom opened "Fratelli's" (Italian for "the brothers"), a small pizzeria that soon grew to be what it is today. As the sons of Tommaso and Francesca, we couldn't be more proud of our Italian heritage and the fact that we were able to share our family recipes with you. Our parents taught us the importance of using only the finest ingredients in all of our recipes, with the most important ingredient being excellent customer service.
From our generation to yours, we hope you enjoy dining at Fratelli's and hope to see you soon!
