Midwest Eye Associates was founded in 1969 by Dr. Jerry Becker. Dr. Brad Byergo became the Clinical Director of Midwest Eye Associates in 2002, and the business expanded to include locations in St. Charles, St. Peters, Creve Coeur, and Fenton.
Midwest Eye Associates has thousands of designer frames and sunglasses to match both your personality and your style. We have recently added designers like Fendi, Coach, Kate Spade, and Juicy Couture. We also offer eyeglass packages for those that want high quality glasses at an affordable price.
Our practice offers much more than just eyeglasses and contact lenses, however. We are able to fully diagnose and treat all types of eye diseases including Glaucoma, Dry Eye Syndrome, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, and Conjunctivitis.
In 2006, Midwest Eye Associates became one of the leaders in the St. Louis area in Glaucoma diagnosis and treatment with the addition of Nerve Fiber Analysis. The revolutionary GDx-VCC machine allows our doctors to diagnose and treat Glaucoma before patients develop vision loss from the disease. GDx-VCC can also be used to screen patients with risk factors or a family history of Glaucoma.
In 2007, Midwest Eye Associates affiliated with Ophthalmologists Dr. Ranjan Malhotra and Dr. Greg Berdy. Both Dr. Malhotra and Dr. Berdy are corneal specialists and Fellows of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. They are two of the most well respected corneal, refractive, and cataract surgeons in the United States.
Midwest Eye Associates is excited to offer many ways to correct your vision without the need for glasses and contact lenses. With our affiliated surgeons we can now offer "Bladeless Lasik". We also offer implantable multifocal lenses to correct your vision at a distance without compromising your near vision.
