Marcia Nagel, underwent her second total knee replacement surgery in September 2009. Although she knew the surgery was necessary for her quality of life, the compassionate nurse also realized if she was unable to recover from the surgery, it might prematurely end her career.
Dr. Hummel is not only Nagel’s orthopedic surgeon, but also a familiar figure in the operating room; she has worked with him off and on for more than 25 years. So when Nagel agreed to the surgery recommended by Dr. Hummel, she had confidence that her fourth recovery would be as smooth as the first three.
