Floating Missouri's Current River

Rocky River Resort is located just south of the Current River bridge on the east side of the river at 304 W. Jefferson in Doniphan, Missouri. All of our raft,tube and canoe float trips begin at a point upriver from us and end at our private landing where your car is walking distance away – no long wait for the ride back to your car.

Park your car at Rocky River Resort and leave the rest up to us. We transport you upriver to your point of entry. This allows you to enjoy your float with no set take out time or deadline to meet, and there is no tiring wait for transportation at the end of your float.

Many of you who do not desire to float long distances, but would like to stay out on the river, will want to take the shorter mileage trips and stop at an inviting spot or two along the way to eat, sun, swim or just relax.

Rocky River Resort offers you many conveniences such as: Spacious and shady campsites, Hot showers, Electric Hook-ups, Picnic Tables & Fire Rings at each site, Modern Restrooms Facilities, RV Hook-ups including water, sewer and cable TV at many sites. We also have an on-site convenience store that stocks sodas, t-shirts and river supplies.


Canoeing >> For those of you wanting a short relaxing trip,this may be the one for you. The average floating time is 2 to 2 1/2 hours for this 6 mile trip. There are plenty of stopping points to sunbathe, relax, swim, fish and picnic.

Rafting >> For those of you with familes or fun groups, then this rafting trips is for you. You can float this mild 6 mile strech of water with an approximate 4 hours floating time in our 6-man rafts. The young and the young at heart can enjoy this trip by floating, stopping along the way at the many gravel bars, and just plain relaxing in the sun. 4 person minimum.

$50 half day • $80 full day

Tubing >> If you're the type that wishes to be in the water while you float, then you'll want to try the inexpensive way to float, tubing. For those who have never tubed, you're in for a big treat. And for those who have experienced the thrill, you know the fun that lies ahead. For the ultimate in tubing luxury try our canvas-covered Cadillac tubes. At Rocky River Resort we'll show you how to secure your coolers to your tubes and offer advice for a safe and successful trip down the beautiful Current River. Price includes shuttle.

$8 regular • $12 Cadillac

Self-Haul: If you don't mind the drive, use your own vehicle for putting in or taking out (excludes Cadillac tubes, canoes and rafts).

Enjoy a full day on the river with this 21 mile trip that has approximately 6 1/2 hours floating time. Allow time to stop for lunch, swimming,sunbathing,counting bald eagles and other wild life, or simply enjoy some R&R on the many gravel bars along the way. Because of the distance of this trip,we have to leave Rocky River Resort by 9:00 am. 2 canoe minimum, reservation only.
