St. Clair HealthMart, formerly St. Clair Rexall Drug, 855 N. Commercial Ave, has been a part of this community since 1971. Pharmacist Bill Juengel bought Wards Rexall Drug from Jimmy Ward on May 3rd and a few weeks later, moved his wife Sally and three children from North St. Louis County. Over the years, the pharmacy has moved twice from its original location at 405 S. Main, first to 75 S. Main and finally to its present location in the Route 66 Medical Center in 1988.
Susan Lindemann, Bill Juengel's youngest daughter, graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1989 and became the third generation of pharmacists in the Juengel family. Sue purchased the pharmacy from her father in October, 1993 as Bill transitioned into retirement. Today, he remains active in the community with several organizations and charity events. Sue is currently involved on the board of the St. Clair Area Chamber of Commerce and the board of Franklin County CASA, an organization that advocates for abused and neglected children.
The pharmacy has always been blessed with a hardworking, dedicated staff and many loyal customers and friends. This combination is the key for our survival in a very competitive marketplace. We live by the Golden Rule here and our wise customers realize that you get what you pay for.
The pharmacy carries a full line of over-the-counter medications, medical equipment, a variety of gift cards, snack food items, Hallmark greeting cards, gifts and a Kodak Digital Picture Kiosk.
