A blend of old country charm and modern day conveniences, The Swan Haven Inn was originally known as the Gustav Muhm House and was built in 1860. The first owner, Gustav, was one of the original grape growers and wine producers in Augusta.
The large expansive home sits on two park like acres, with wonderful views of vineyards, woods and ridges. The 36' deck is the perfect spot to sit back relax, unwind or watch the many varieties of birds at the bird feeders, or watch a spectacular sunset over the vineyard from the front porch.
Explore the charming town of Augusta, The Swan Haven Inn is just a short stroll to the Augusta Emporium Antiques, Augusta Wood Ltd. and many others. Enjoy a wonderful meal in town, at the Ashley's Rose Restaurant, Cafe Bella Restaurant and the Augusta Brewing Company.
Enjoy some of the best wines and spectacular views at one of the six wineries, two of which are right here in town, Mount Pleasant and Augusta Winery, with four more within a short drive from the Swan Haven Inn; Balducci's, Montelle, Sugar Creek and Bluminghof.
The Katy Trail, just blocks from us, is another great way to explore the countryside, rent a bike or bring your own. You can also walk the Katy Trail.
We're a short drive to Klondike Park, where you can hike and enjoy a wonderful view of the Missouri river, or visit the Daniel Boone home and take a step back in time.
