Justine Froelker is a Masters level therapist with extensive experience working with diverse populations. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Truman State University and a Master's of Education degree in Community Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis. She is licensed in the State of Missouri as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Justine has been in the counseling field since 1999. For 3 years she worked for Preferred Family Healthcare (PFH) in Kirksville, MO. While at PFH, Justine worked with adult substance abuse clients in all levels of care. Through this experience, Justine provided case management to her client caseload. She also developed and facilitated many psychoeducational groups.
After moving to St. Louis, Justine worked for 4 years at McCallum Place Eating Disorders Treatment Programs. Throughout her career at McCallum Place, Justine worked in several departments of the treatment center, including Intake & Admissions, Utilization Review, Aftercare Coordinator, and Therapist. She worked with many patients, both male and female, of all ages. During her
time with McCallum Place, Justine gained experience in helping patients with many issues including eating disorders, poor body image, low self-esteem, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, stress management, obsessive compulsive disorders, and problem solving.
Justine's style of therapy is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Her straight-forward and non-shaming approach creates a safe space to address patients' concerns.
Justine works with adolescents, college students, and adults on a variety of concerns. She has extensive training and experience in eating disorders, body image issues, perfectionism, addictions, depression, anxiety, stress management, OCD, and low self-esteem. Throughout her professional career, Justine has worked with very diverse patients and problems, which has provided her with the opportunity to help many patients move forward in their lives and make changes for the better.
Justine is a graduate of the Coach U Core Essentials Program. She is currently working with coaching clients on issues such as relationships and personal/professional development.
Justine is also an instructor with St. Louis Community College-Meramec. She teaches General Psychology, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Human Sexuality, and Psychology of Gender.
