Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill, New York
HBE designed and is building the first replacement hospital in New York in more than 25 years. Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is merging its Arden Hill campus in Goshen, NY and the Horton campus in Middletown, NY into one hospital. The new facility will be built on a 61-acre site in the town of Wallkill, NY.
According to ORMC and the original CON, HBE’s design-build method is saving nearly 20% in costs for the 374-bed, 621,000 square foot, state-of-the-art replacement hospital.
The structural steel “topping off” ceremony was held in early 2009. The final steel being erected this month represents a major milestone on this project. HBE is proud to be serving ORMC in providing quality health care for the Hudson Valley.

The "Fully Integrated Firm" In a recent issue, HEALTHCARE DESIGN Magazine published an article that provides a revealing perspective on the ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of standart project delivery models in comparison to a fully integrated (architecture, engineering, construction) approach to hospital design and construction.
Only a truly integrated process like HBE's is capable of designing collaboratively, providing reliable costs, eliminating an owner's risk, and delivering a value-based solution to the hospital client.
