Scott Niekamp wins Community Service Award from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation

Suburban Journals Old Newsboy Fund for Children is receiving a $10,000 grant from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation in recognition of financial representative Scott S. Niekamp, CLUs outstanding volunteer involvement as part of the companys 16th annual national Community Service Award program. Niekamp is one of 25 financial representatives being recognized as top volunteers.Through the program funded by the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, more than
$275,000 will be donated this year to various
nonprofit organizations nationwide.

Scott Niekamp along with Managing Partner, John M Qualy, presented a check on behalf of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation to Old Newsboys for $20,000 at the St. Louis Cardinals game Thursday, September 16th. Thru the generosity of Scott Niekamp, John Qualy, and their associates, the Foundation was able to award Old Newsboys funds through their matching gift program. This is in addition to the $10,000 grant Scott was awarded through Northwestern Mutuals Community Service Award earlier this year in July.

Northwestern Mutual announced a 2011 payout of nearly 4.9 billion dollars – the second largest in our company’s history to clients who own life, annuities, DI and long-term care policies.
