CRIME STOPPERS and the Greene County Sheriffs Office are asking for help in identifying the suspects in the vandalism of a Cooperative substation.
The vandalism occurred in the early morning on September 21, 2010, at the Cave Springs substation located off of Highway Z north of Willard when the substation equipment was shot with a firearm. According to the report, the shot resulted in $300,000 worth of damage. More than 3,750 Ozark Electric members lost power as a result.
Ozark Electric Cooperative is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for damage to its Cave Springs substation equipment. CRIME STOPPERS may also offer additional rewards up to $1,000 for tips leading to felony convictions in this case.
