United Way of the Ozarks' Day of Caring helps Springfield campus

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- About 1,800 volunteers spent the day doing a variety of service projects throughout the Springfield community as part of the United Way of the Ozarks' Day of Caring. Many non-profit agencies' buildings got some sprucing up, with labor that didn't cost a thing. It wasn't all painting and fixing, but everything was done with those less fortunate in mind, and, in many instances, volunteers were doing it for the children.
