We at Westwood would like to invite you to be our guest. WBC is made up of friendly, caring people who join together each week for the preaching of God’s Word. Our mission is to magnify the Lord through worship and the Word; move believers toward maturity and ministry; and make Jesus known to our neighbors and the nations.

Our desire is to magnify our Lord in all that we do. That manifests itself in two specific ways here at Westwood. First in our worship. Our worship is for God's benefit, not ours. Secondly, we desire to magnify the Lord through the preaching of God's Word by our Pastor, Steve Proctor.

Our mission is empowered by the desire to see lives changed. We want to see believers become mature in their Christian walk; and as they do, become involved in ministry, ultimately duplicating their experience in someone else’s life.

Our mission is missions! The Great Commission is our purpose here on earth. Acts 1:8 commands us: "Ye shall be witnesses unto me...in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." In other words we are to share our faith everywhere; here in Poplar Bluff and around the world.
