Welcome to First Assembly where Church is more than just a Service,

It is an Experience!

Greetings! Thank you for stopping by the website of Potosi First Assembly. Welcome and God bless you as you browse through our site. I would like to extend to you a personal invitation to visit us and get acquainted with our Church Family. Our Sunday services here at First Assembly begin with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday morning service at 10:45 am, followed by evening services which begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday is packed with Royal Rangers and Girls Ministry as well as Mid week worship for Adults all beginning at 7 p.m. Be sure and check out our "Events" page for our current events and calendar.

If you enjoy being around warm and friendly people in an environment where the Spirit of the Lord is present, you will find First Assembly a place you will want to call home.

We are excited about reaching the community of Potosi and beyond, fulfilling the Great Commission, and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in being a lighthouse to this generation.

Read 2 Peter 3:1–7
Warnings take many forms. In the Midwest, we often get ice-storm and tornado warnings. Many people ignore such warnings and drive too fast for road conditions or try to outrun tornadoes often with disastrous consequences.
One elderly farmer persisted in telling everyone he disagreed with stop signs. In the end it was his disregard for one that took his life and the life of his wife.
Peter’s first letter was full of encouragement while this second one delivers a warning.
You must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires (2Peter 3:3).
These people question Christ’s return. Like Peter, we live in the last days—the time before the rapture of the Church. We too encounter people who continue to ignore God’s teachings and warnings. Peter encouraged us keep our focus on God, continue with the work He has called us to do, and retain our hope in His promise to come again.
Prayer Suggestion: Ask the Holy Spirit for grace and courage to remain steadfast in your faith and focused on Jesus.
